Abstract:
During entomological surveys conducted by the author in the whole of the Balochistan Province in 1996-2001, Sergentomyia (Sergentomyia) babu babu (N=165), Sergentomyia palestinensis (N=10) and Sergentomyia baghdadis (N=145) were collected from 17,3 and 15 localities, respectively. These localities appear to be the new records of these species in the literature to date. Taxonomic characters not described by earlier workers are described, measured and illustrated here. Keys for identification of Pakistanese species are also constructed. Results are compared with the published data of these species available in the existing literature.
