Contamination of Ground Water in Heavy Metals Concentration of Tabriz Industrial Zone

Abstract:
Industrial development and misuse of groundwater in Tabriz are the main cause of groundwater metal contamination. In this study concentration of Cr , Pb , Hg , Zn , Cu and Cd in groundwater in industrial area of Tabriz were evaluated. Cluster analysis of data showed that , the concentration of Hg is 82 which is twice as much as standard level. The main reason of high level of Hg was found petrochemical industry in the area.
