ABSTRACT
In this study, we present the end-to-end performance of a dual-hop amplify-and-forward relaying system over asymmetric multipath/shadowing fading environment, where the composite Nakagami-lognormal distribution is approximated by using mixture gamma distribution. Based on the cumulative distribution function of the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio, novel closed-form expressions of the outage probability and symbol error rate for the dual-hop system are derived. Finally, numerical and simulation results are shown to verify the accuracy of the analytical results.
