ABSTRACT
The foot braking valve is an important component of the EBS. The structure and working principle of a foot braking valve were introduced. The test bench of the foot braking valve of the EBS was built. The static characteristics of the foot braking valve were obtained via the bench test. It is showed that the valve ports of the two air channels are opened at the displacement of 3.6 mm. The inflection points and slope of each segment of the pressure curve obtained by the bench test are basically identical to those of the static characteristic calibration curve. The thrust force through the bench test does not reach the maximum force of calibration curve because the air source pressure does not reach the required test pressure.
