ABSTRACT
The experiment was designed to study the effect of foliar application of GA3 on chickpea growth. Fresh and dry weights of shoot increased by the application of GA3 accompanied by increased plant height. Number of branches decreased with GA3 treatments. Application of GA3 at vegetative stage showed more reduction than at flower initiation stage. Length and fresh weight of root remained unaffected, while dry weight of root increased with GA3 treatment. Application of 20 mgl -1 GA3 at flower initiation stage proved more effective than other treatments.
